Following the huge success stories for Armonico Consort with Too Hot to Handel and Monteverdi's Flying Circus, the group continues to explore new and imaginative ways in which to bring music of the baroque to life for a 21st Century audience.

Baroque Around the Block tells the tale of some of the lesser known facts that lay behind some of the greatest moments of Baroque opera and oratorio, and makes a few up along the way...

Featuring some exceptional music from the period, including the bedroom scene from Handel's Agrippina, instrumental music by Vivaldi, scene of the drunken poet from Purcell's Fairy Queen and movements from Bach cantatas.
